Flying Circus
Blanc de Blancs.
Our Flying Circus Blanc de Blancs is made from the best selection of Chardonnay grapes. All the grapes are hand picked. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, it is then aged in used oak barrels for 3-6 months before being bottled for secondary fermentation. The final touch is for the wine to mature for almost 2 years in the cellar.
The Story
Every bottle has a story.
Each one of our labels has its own unique story behind it. The label captures the humorous antics of the pheasants that roam the Estate. It was also designed in memory of the Estate owner's great Grandfather who was involved in the design of the iconic Sopwith Camel, a Bi-plane fighter aircraft that went into service in 1917 and coincides with the release of our Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine a 100 years on in 2017. This wine is in homage of him.
Flavour profile
A beautiful expression.
12% ABV - Lovely and pale in colour with a slight golden hue.
On the nose: Generous helpings of fruit, both stone and dashing of bright citrus fruits with that familiar toasted brioche finish.
On the palate: Crisp lemon and orchard apples complemented by coatings of hazelnuts and warm buttered toast. Delicious!
